The Board of the Brazos River Rotary Club recently approved the goals for the club 2014/15 year!  All goals were based on the feedback of members during multiple vision sessions.

  1. CLUB SERVICE/SOCIAL
    1. Hold at least quarterly Club Social Events
      1. October 24th Social
      2. Holiday (December) Social
      3. Spring 2015 Social

    2. Continue the “What’s My Story” programs recognizing members throughout the Rotary year.
 
  1. YOUTH SERVICE
    1. Complete Huggins Field Project by 5/1/15
    2. Start process of developing Youth Safety Program for area schools to start in the 2015/16 Rotary Year
      1. Determine Partnering Agencies
      2. Determine Curriculum
      3. Develop Club Committee for Implementation
    3. Start process of developing Early Act/First Knight program for Huggins School to start in the 2015/16 Year
      1. Set up Fall 2014 Club Program
      2. Conduct program site visits at other clubs by Winter 2015
      3. Determine willingness of LCISD to support
 
  1. INTERNATIONAL SERVICE
    1. Implement Polio Plus Donation Box program in the Fall of 2014 for donations by May 2015
    2. Look into the possibility of conducting a Russian Business Intern Program for the Summer of 2015

  1. VOCATIONAL SERVICE
    1. Develop and implement Huggins School “Teacher of the Year” and “Administrative Paraprofessional of the Year” recognition program for May or June of 2015.
    2. Research and develop an annual club recognition of Veterans by the end of the Rotary year 2015.
 
  1. COMMUNITY SERVICE
    1. Implement a “hands-on” service project in conjunction with the Huggins Field Project, to be completed before April 1, 2015.
    2. Research and identify a project for competition by June 30, 2015 in one of the following areas:
      1. Community Clean Up (Park, Home, Etc.)
      2. Holiday Food Basket Delivery
 
  1. FUNDRAISER
    1. Short-term
      1. Holiday Event Project
        1. Limited “Holiday Hayride” December 2014
    2. Long Term
      1. Expansion of a larger “Holiday Hayride” event for 2015.
      2. Identification of other “one day” fundraising event.

      1. Parade(s) flag or glow stick distribution.

      1. Placement of weekly meeting notice in all area media.
      2. Development and distribution of at least two club PSAs with pictures to area media.

  1. FOUNDATION
    1. EREY – 100% of club members donating $100 to the Foundation.
    2. Polio Plus – That collectively, the club membership donates at least $600 to Polio Plus through personal donations of the PP donation boxes.
